Love + Gratitude

Things I love and am grateful for...

My dearest friend that I miss and love. Suddenly I am realizing that we don't really have any pictures of the pair of us! humpf....that is a case of taking for granted the fact that we saw each other practically every day....until she moved to Denver. Boo. ADVICE: don't take the ones you love for granted. spend time and take photos!

Yarn. Yarn. Yarn. Crochet. Crochet. Crochet. LOVE. I have finally completed all the squares I want for my granny blanket and now I can weave them all together. I will reveal the final to you soon. This is a small project that I started for my tea tray. It's almost done. Does crochet mirror life? I seem to have a few crochet works in progress. My life is a work in progress.

I love these 2 books that I am reading now...

The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp

Companion of God by Dadi Janki

Listening to the most beautiful music by Anonymous 4

I totally love this fuzzy monkey...

I will leave you with some Dadi Janki...
Let me be humble and
let me harmonize and work well with all others,
but let me not become like them.

Others may be influenced
by their own arrogance
or by their own negativities,
or by ordanariness in the mind,
but this does not mean that I have to be.

There should be so much truth in me
that others become truthful

My inner state should be such that
not only am I not influenced
by the negativity of others,
but my very presence is a positive influence
on all negativities.
This is true, spiritual detachment

It is so exhilarating
to experience yourself as a Spiritual Being
You should never hide
that sparkle on the face that comes
from having come to God

Everything we used to do on the basis of ego
can now be done out of love.

~Dadi Janki
